Re: Week #13: (4/15-19) Progress Reports

This weeks schedule was really messed up with Mondays holiday and Thursdays no class, it threw us all out of wack. However I was able to make it in on Wednesday and get connected and started communicating to the Plc and HMI. With Chucks help I was able to get the HMI mostly dialed in and found out w...

Re: Week #12: (4/8-12) Progress Reports.

This week we decided to use the older translation table that the existing project used with a twist on it, our new Robot. The table that we had constructed just would not hold up to the tolerances we needed it to have and agreed to cut it out of our project all together. After disassembling the olde...

Re: Week #11: (4/1-5) Progress Reports

This week we started getting together a schematic of the entire project. The translation table revamp was not a success so we started to brain storm what we were going to use instead of our custom made one. The robot programing is underway in means of communication some minor moves were made. We dis...

Re: Week #10: (3/25-29) Progress Reports

This week we got some parts ordered up to revamp our translation table to make it more rigid. We also ordered a wire track system to keep our robot wires neat as the table moves from side to side. We discussed the appropriate communication needed for the robot to the plc. Lastly we discussed what el...

Re: Week #9: (3/18-22) Progress Reports

We completed the relay concept to get our translation table to move in one direction and the other direction by means of relays switching the polarity. There was a lot of discussion and adjustment to our project everyone was hands on getting the wiring more complete. We got a piece of wood for the p...

Re: Week #8 (3/11-15) SPRING BREAK!!!

Raul and I came in Tuesday night during spring break we customized the translation table to prevent vibration and slow the motor down. We discussed how we would wire it up and began constructing the relays required for operation of the table. I came in Thursday night during Spring Break and rewired ...

Re: Week #7: (3/4-8) Progress Reports

With the all the labs that we were falling behind in we agreed to briefly meet on spring break to make up anything we had to get caught up on for the project. We did however figure out how we were going to wire the Table for the robot and the remainder of the project.
