Re: Week #16 (5/8-12) Weekly Progress Report
For this week I tweaked the conveyor belt to be even more precise for what we we want it to do in the assembly line. I also written down all the coordinates of each stage of movement for the dobot responsible for attaching the wheels and axle onto the wooden block so that I can incorporate it into t...

Re: Week #14 (4/24-28) Weekly Progress Report
This week I finally was able to get the conveyor belt the way I want to with the capacitor sensor. The conveyor belt now stops when the block is detected by the sensor so that the wheels and axles can be placed, then resumes slowly for a while for the glue section, and then pauses again one more tim...

Re: Week #13 (4/17-21) Weekly Progress Report
For this week me, Paula, and Jorge screwed down some equipment to the table and also did some wire organization for the whole project. I also played with the conveyor belt too so that I can get it to work the way I want it to but it didn't turn out as expected yet again.

Re: Week #12 (4/10-14) Weekly Progress Report
Me and Jorge we able to get the dobot to download a program we created using the teach pendant. I also set up a the conveyor belt with a capacitor sensor to sense the wooden block at the a certain point in the conveyor belt. The program didn't work as I liked it too so I will continue to work on it ...

I assisted Jorge on establishing connections to the dobots from the plc so that we can trigger them on using the hmi. We looked up what each pin of the dobot represented so that we can connect them properly to th3e plc and we eventually got it connected.

Re: Week #10 (3/27-31) Weekly Progress Report
After many difficulties in programming and utilizing the dobot linear rail to act as a conveyor belt, we established that a dobot conveyor belt will work best for the project. I found a dobot conveyor belt and assisted established it in the place where the linear rail used to be. I played around wit...

Re: Week #9 (3/20-24) Weekly Progress Report
For week 9, we had established a set table dedicated to the project. We put all dobots onto the table and aligned them to best fit our goal. The fanuc robot was also to the side of the table, marking the beginning of the assembly process. We put a blank dobot linear rail to act as the conveyor belt.

Re: Week #7 (3/6-3/10) Weekly Progress Report
For Week 7 Rick suggested to use a dobot sliding rail as a conveyor rather than a fanuc conveyor since it should be easier to implement. So got another sliding rail hooked up and used a mounting plate as the base to hold the car. The group also suggested that we may need another sliding dobot so I c...

Completed Lab Experiments #26, #27, and #10.
Note that in experiment #27, the stepper motor did not operate properly as expected. It kept pulsing clockwise and counterclockwise which resulted it in not even rotating but vibrating instead.

Re: Week #6 (2/27-3/3) Weekly Progress Report
Tuesday Lab was cancelled due to a snow storm so we lost time on that. In the Thursday Lab, I tried to fix the wire holders for the dobot sliding rail with hot glue because a piece of it broke off. The wires would then get wrapped in a weird position and then get in the way of the dobot from sliding...

Re: Week #5 (2/20-2/24) Weekly Progress Report
In week 5 the group rediscussed on how to mount the wheels and axle and onto the body of the car. Nate proposed the idea of using a plate and clamping system. The body would be clamped the down and the wheels and axles would get pushed down by a plate vertically into the car while at the same time a...

Re: Week #4 (2/13-2/17) Weekly Progress Report
In week 4 I assisted Rick along with a few others to get more equipment from building 20. We also gotten the fridge and microwave from building 20 to use them in building 17 if we need them. This week I started to assemble the Dobot along with its sliding rail. However, I couldn't finish it since I ...
