Week #6: (2/26-3/2) Finish WAM text, BS2 I/O Signals

Post by rjagodowski »

(Due to the Professional Day activities scheduled at STCC, our class will not meet this week. Therefore you are expected to study and review this content on your own.)

We'll spend the first part of the class discussing the Basic Stamp Syntax and Reference Manual. The Basic Stamp Syntax and Reference Manual can be downloaded here in the Welcome to Course topic.

We will then discuss the signals to be observed in next week's lab experiment Week #7: BS2 IO Signals, with review discussions on Duty Cycle, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) with HIGH/LOW/PULSOUT/PAUSE, exponential waveform signals PULSIN/RCTIME and Sine wave Modelling FREQOUT. Some sample screenshots are posted below.

Lastly, I'll give a brief introduction to the StampWorks kit, the Professional Development Board and the experiments which need to be completed using that equipment. You can download the support information for StampWorks and the Professional Development Board here in the Welcome to Course topic.

Here's a bit on PWM from Sparkfun.
