Week #4: Boyle's Law

Post by rjagodowski »

This week we will discuss Boyle's Law.

Boyle's Law can be summarized as follows:

P1V1 = P2V2

where:
P1 is the pressure of the gas at the start,
V1 the volume of the gas at the start and
P2 and V2 the pressure and volume of the gas at the end.

NOTE: The above formula assumes that the temperature and the mass of the gas does not change.

We looked at This Link last week in our discussion of Pressure. If you scroll down, you will see their explanation of Boyle's Law.
