Week #15: (4/30-5/4) Progress Reports

This is where you should post your weekly progress reports. Posts should be individual for each member of each group. You should post at least once per week. You may find it convenient to post more than one per week. That is acceptable.

Designed brackets for elevator floor switches and measured lexon sheets for ceiling and floor. Need to get band saw working to cut the lexon down to size.

Rewired the LED buttons. This time I separated wires and made sure the switches for the buttons are in series with the inputs on the PLC and the LED's are in series with the outputs. Now the buttons are able to latch WITH the LEDs.
The limit switches are wired up to the PLC and they interfaced smoothly.

Once the Limit switches are mounted, the elevator will now know what floor to stop on.

Rewired the LED pushbuttons to make them latch, wired the limit switches to unlatch the buttons when its on the right floor, and reworked the program to include the limit switches instead of the prox sensor

Mounted emergency phone to the board and wired it to our plc program. Did some work on the plc’s program so now when the plc is moving the motor it will know what floor its on and know which floor and sensors to bypass when a certain floor is pressed. Ex. When we on floor 1 and we select the 4th floor , the plc program will know we're on the 1st floor because the Timer on the program will read that the floor is < 2,3,& 4 . It will know that it needs to go up but it also reads that the 4th floor was selected so it would also read 4 > 1 which will be true so it would only cause the sensor on floor 4 to latch when the cart touches it .

Did testing and collabarated all HMI screen buttons with the system for perfect topping sizes. Also, worked with the team doing wire labelling.
