Week #2: (1/28-2/1) Progress Reports

Post by rjagodowski »

You should post your progress for this week as a Reply to this Topic. Each person in your group should create their own post. You may edit your post as you work progresses throughout the week. For example:

Tuesday (1/29): I created the rough schedule for the group for the rest of the semester.

then edit the post on Thursday to add:

Thursday (1/31): I researched materials for the pneumatic control valves needed.

And if you work again later in the week:

Saturday (2/1): Found 3 vendors for the pneumatic control valves.

Progress Report Topics will be locked at the beginning of the next week. DO NOT DELAY IN POSTING YOUR PROGRESS!!!

Tuesday: 1/29/19 We, as a group, moved our project onto its new table. We attempted to communicate with the plc, but we were not successful yet. Lastly we discussed a few different tasks and mentioned who would be doing each task.

Thursday: 1/31/19 we flipped around our design to how we want it on the table. we ran in a problem with the dobot gripper, so we did some research and came up with a bracket idea to mount it a different way to solve the issue.

Tuesday (1/29): We cleaned out the spare room, and moved our project onto a better table so we will have more room to work with. Also figured out a schedule for our project and assigned jobs to each person.

Thursday (1/31): Today we moved our project around into the correct positions however, we ran into a problem with our project because our robot doesn't have the ability to move its wrists, so we worked on figuring out a solution but have not yet came to a conclusion.

Tuesday: 1/29/19 Our group deconstructed and moved our project onto its new table(resting area). We helped clean out the spare room. We attempted to communicate with the plc to try and pull the program out of it, but we were not successful yet. Lastly we discussed a few different tasks and mentioned who would be doing each task.

Thursday: 1/31/19 We as a group, rearranged our design on the table, to accommodate our audience. This move would allow the viewers/audience to be able to press buttons on the HMI. We ran into a slight problem with the dobot gripper, so we did some research and came up with a bracket idea that would allow us to mount it differently, hopefully giving us a solution to this issue. We broke off individually to work on our schedule, and do any more research we needed to do. HERE IS A LINK TO SCHEDULE ROUGH DRAFT

Details about the work for the day.

On Tuesday, Jan/29/19 Our group deconstructed and moved our project onto its new table(resting area). We helped clean out the spare room. We attempted to communicate with the PLC to try and pull the program out of it, but we were not successful yet. Lastly we discussed a few different tasks and mentioned who would be doing each task to realize the project.

And on Thursday, Jan/31/19 We as a group, we rearranged our design on the table, to accommodate our audience. HERE IS A LINK TO SCHEDULE ROUGH DRAFT.
