Week #9: (10/28) Machine Safety Components

Post by rjagodowski »

Adding to some topics recently presented:

Last week we talked about fuses, circuit breakers and GFCI's. Here's a YouTube video on How a Circuit Breaker Works (6:43). A pretty good video showing the internal mechanisms for both magnetic and thermal tripping.

For those who wish to have additional material on Single Phase Wiring of Hot, Neutral and Ground wiring, here's a YouTube video on Ground, Neutral & Hot Wires Explained (11:12) It includes GFCIs in part of it's presentation.

And this presentation on What is Ground? Earth Ground/Earthing (9:26)

Today we will discuss a bit about Machine Safety.

We viewed a Sawstop video earlier. Here's another video when the demonstrator actually inserts his own finger into the rotating table saw blade.
