Week #13: (4/24) Introduction to MicroSoft Visio for Fluid Power Diagrams

Post by rjagodowski »

This week you will be introduced to the Microsoft Program Visio with specific emphasis on its application to Fluid Power systems.

Due to the COVID-19 Campus Closure, we will NOT be able to do this assignment. However, I still want you to be familier with the MS Visio program. Many of you have had some exposure to MS Visio via the EET-105 Technical Diagrams for Automation course in the Fall. Those who haven't will probably have the opportunity this coming Fall.

Our discussion will include the basics, and I'll show you a sample Visio session by sharing the Visio program on my computer during our Zoom video class.

Then there's this link on Create a Pneumatic or Hydraulic Control System Diagram from Microsoft.

Assignment:(NOT IN SPRING 2020) Before the Final Exam, use Visio to recreate 2 diagrams from either text of the Hydraulic/Pneumatic Trainers. Make sure your name is electronically printed on each of the diagrams you print & submit.

MS Visio requires that Microsoft Office be installed on your computer first. Check out this MicroSoft Link for Trial Version download details.
