Week #13: Flyback Diode Effects on Inductive Components

This week you will construct a circuit using a 12V relay. A schematic diagram will be drawn on the board in lab and you will wire the relay provided to you accordingly. Here's some additional reading about Flyback Diodes.

You will then need to use your Agilent Digital Scopes to capture the voltage present across the relay coil with and without the flyback diode present across the relay coil. You will most likely need to use 10x probes to get the high V/DIV needed to show the voltage spikes on the 'scope screen.
