Week #5: (10/5) BoeBot #1

Post by rjagodowski »

This is the link to the Parallax Website which makes and sells the BS2 USB BoeBot, item number 28832. If you try to purchase this from other sources, make sure you get the BS2 USB version and that it includes all parts. The BS2 (Basic Stamp 2) chip is $49.00 by itself should you need to purchase a new "brain" for your BoeBot. The STCC Bookstore should have these in stock, but they are usually at a higher price than you can find online. (Note an endorsement for Amazon, but here's a link to it on Amazon.com. And here it is from Robotshop.com.

This week we begin our BoeBot construction. Be sure to bring your BoeBot to lab with you. You will follow the instructions provided in the BoeBot manual. You can find pdfs of BoeBot documentation on the CSET Forums here. Using the pdf version of the BoeBot Manual, you can copy and paste programs from the pdf manual into the BS2 Editor window. This will save time and decrease the likely of program errors.
