Battery Changing Information:

Note that when changing the Fanuc LR200 batteries, depending upon how far the batteries have discharged and whether or not the proper procedure is followed might require Mastering the robot (restore the motor encoder data). The batteries should be replaced every year. The mastering info for the 3 LR Mate 200iD/4S robots is attached below along with the Quick Mastering Procedure. If the DCS (Dual Check Safety) Parameters need to be reset, the information is attached as well.

Coordinate System Frames in Industrial Robots from James Madison University

Coordinate Frames from James Madison U. This is a pretty good presentation of Coordinate Frames, but the last two pages get pretty deep, so you might wish to skip those. Here's the pdf if you prefer:

This Fanuc Robot User Guide from University of Ljubljana seems to have some nice visuals as to the coordinate system frame and robot motion. A pdf is attached here:

Fanuc Re-Image Files & Process

Post by rjagodowski »

These are the image files for the three LR200 robots in our lab. They are labelled by the "F" number on each robot base. You need to download the proper image, unzip it and then copy the files over to an appropriate USB flashdrive.

Here is a video on the Fanuc Restore Procedure (6:09).

Here's a link to information about backing up and restoring images on the Fanuc RB-30iB Controller.

Here is a "Robot-Forum.com" post about the Fanuc Image & MD Backup Procedure.
