We decided what items to sort. 1/25

I did some research on milk with Joe. 1/26

This week we decided that we will be sorting different types of milk cartons. We started fleshing out a basic design using a conveyor, a robot arm, a PLC, and some pneumatics to scan barcodes and then based on the bar codes sort the cartons into 3 categories and a misc./error. next week well start breaking it down into different subsystems to delegate to groups. We have yet to describe the exact parameters of the project but that will happen post haste. 1/25

Came up with project design and talked about sorting process, had discussion of the basic function and end goal for project

Came up with a product to move which is Milk. We want to incorporate sensors and conveyors and the FANUC robot. The idea is to be able to process and organize a verity of milk flavors into its boxes.

We cleaned out the area where we are working at. Discussed the item that will get scanned for the project.

Decided on what we are sorting, which is different kinds of milk. Helped decide on the layout of the project and helped clean the table. try to figure out why the robot is moving slow.

We all came together to talk about the end goal and materials we needed. We had a talk about how we will build the project.
