Security Roundtable – Voting Machine Security

On Monday, October 17th, 2022 the Computer Technology Security Roundtable will sponsor a presentation in Building 17, Room 515 from 12:15PM to 1:15PM on Voting Machine Security.

Nick Bishop has been a regular attendee of the DEFCON security conference and a regular participant of the Voting Machine Village group whose mission it is to explore vulnerabilities in voting machines. Nick’s efforts have been documented in the Voting Village reports and the NY Times (Sept 24, 2018).

Nick will explain the mission of the DEFCON Voting Machine Village and will bring some actual voting machines to demonstrate their vulnerabilities.

The Security Roundtable is a special interest group in Computer Technologies whose goal is to explore topics in the computer security and privacy realms. This will be our first meeting since the onset of Covid. Upcoming meeting topics include communications, hard drive forensics & data recovery, and physical security. Everyone with an interest in security and privacy is invited.
