Cisco Networking Academy
We are a proud partner of the Cisco Networking Academy. The Cisco Networking Academy is a learning resource that provides students high-quality training materials and simulation tools at no cost to the student. Check out this video about Sergio Sales, and his journey into the Information Technology career, with his training at a Cisco Networking Academy like ours.
The World of Cyber Security
CSET graduates are the boots on the ground, the first line of defense against cyber threats and threat actors. Students will explore and work hands-on in Cyber Security Operations and Ethical Hacking courses, exploring and applying defensive and offensive technical security techniques in real-world scenarios.
CSET Program
It is estimated that by 2024, 80% of the world’s population will be on the Internet. Additionally, it is expected that by 2030, nearly 24 billion IoT devices will make up a large percentage of that Internet traffic.
These increases in network and cloud utilization will bring new security, administration, and networking challenges to the industry. The Computer Systems Engineering Technology (CSET) program at STCC prepares students to tackle the challenges of information technology, cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and virtualization, with a focus on security, system administration, and networking.
Students will take courses in topics such as Windows Server and Linux server administration, Cisco networking, data-center storage management, the Internet of Things (IoT), cryptography, firewalls, cloud computing, and server virtualization.
Our students are given access to the latest educational resources and materials through the Cisco Networking Academy, the Red Hat Linux Academy, and the VMware IT Academy. Since security is a process that must be stressed throughout the Information Technology field, all courses in the CSET program are designed with a high-security posture in mind.
CSET Curriculum
Students will take courses in topics such as Windows Server and Linux server administration, Cisco networking, datacenter storage management, the Internet of Things (IoT), cryptography, firewalls, cloud computing, and server virtualization.
